De naam is een speelse twist op het Nederlandse woord “Gelukspot” (ofwel “Jar of Happiness” in het Engels). Door de “t” te vervangen met een “d” ontstond “Gelukspodje”: een creatieve knipoog naar het medium podcast.

Gelukspodje wordt gepresenteerd door Louisa-Sirimeng Ofide – een creatieve moeder, getalenteerde zangeres en pedagogisch student.
